ARLINGTON BOYS STAY HALF-GAME AHEAD OF RCK

Admirals Get A Pair Of Double-Doubles To Beat Carmel

FREEDOM PLAINS – Arlington High School got a pair of double-doubles on Thursday night, and the Admirals remained a half-game ahead of Ketcham in the league with a 66-43 win over Carmel.

Arlington is now 12-7 overall and 6-1 in the league, with a showdown next week looming against Ketcham.

Rashawn Grant and Jack Sims led the way with double-doubles. Grant had 14 points and 13 boards, and Sims went for 13 and 13.

Cory Rywalt added 11 points for the Admirals.

“We got off to a good start and built a nice lead, but Carmel battled. They run through their stuff real hard. We didn’t get a chance to open it up until the fourth quarter,” Arlington coach Matt Hoyt said. “We just kept attacking the glass and got a ton of offensive rebounds. We were physical and tough and kind of wore them down as the game went on.”
