BOULAY, OST POWER KINGSTON INTO FINALS

Tigers To Face Pine Bush For Section 9, Class AA Volleyball Title

KINGSTON – Tori Boulay had a humongous night on the volleyball court, leading top-seeded Kingston High School back into the Section 9, Class AA finals with a 3-1 semifinal victory over No. 4 Warwick.

Scores were 18-25, 25-18, 25-22 and 25-13.

The Tigers will go for two straight championships when they meet No. 3 Pine Bush in the championship match on Saturday at 12:30 at Mount St. Mary College. Pine Bush advanced in a sweep with a 25-18, 25-15, 25-12 victory over No. 2 Minisink Valley.

Taylor Pannell led the Bushwomen with 12 kills, two blocks and an ace. Teammate Shelby Eller had 14 digs and a pair of aces, and Emily Bott had 11 digs and five kills.

Boulay had a whopping 47 assists in Kingston’s win, adding 12 digs, four aces and three kills. Tori Ost had 28 kills, 13 digs and an ace, Shannon Bonewit had 18 kills and 10 digs, Kailyn Lukaszewski had 15 digs and four kills, and Victoria DeMercurio chipped in with nine digs and three assists.

Warwick’s Gabbi Gaibur had 18 kills and Sarah Davis had 27 assists.
