BREWSTER STAYS PERFECT

Softball Shuts Out Ketcham For 10th Consecutive Win

WAPPINGERS FALLS – Nicole Rosner struck out 13 and held Roy C. Ketcham High School to just four hits Tuesday in Brewster softball’s 10-0 non-league win.

The Bears are a perfect 10-0 overall.

The game was not what the score indicated.

Brewster scored two runs in the third inning to take a 2-0 lead. Rosner had a double to deep center scoring Makayla Koehler, who had singled and Karen Lennox, who had walked.

It stayed that way until the top of the seventh when Brewster broke it open.

The Bears sent 12 batters to the plate in the seventh scoring eight runs on eight hits.

“(RCK pitcher) Skylar (Brandemarte) was doing a great job keeping the ball outside and away the entire game.  I was happy with the adjustment the girls made that last inning,” Brewster coach Lisa Delzio said.
