CARMEL BOYS SOCCER TOPS RCK TO FINISH UNBEATEN

Rams Record 3-1 Victory Over The Indians

WAPPINGERS FALLS – Perfect.

The Carmel High School boys soccer team wrapped up the regular season with an unbeaten record on Saturday, beating Roy C. Ketcham, 3-1, in the league finale.

Nico Calvelli, Tayte Wong and Kyle Klammer all scored for the Rams, who will likely be one of the top two seeds when the regionalized championship tournament begins this week.

Joe Galeano had four saves for Carmel.

“We are grateful that we had the opportunity to keep playing,” said first-year Rams coach Vasily Shevelchinsky. “Ketcham came out aggressive, looked hungry and played well.  With everything going on we value each opportunity. Our players have put in the hard work and are seeing the results. Our focus is now on the playoffs this upcoming week.”
