Croghan’s five goals lift Pine Plains field hockey to first win

AMENIA – What a game for Kaitlin Croghan.

The senior scored five goals on Monday, and the Stissing Mountain High School (Pine Plains) field hockey team shut out Webutuck, 8-0, in a Mid-Hudson Athletic League match for the Bombers’ first victory of the year.

“She plays field hockey all year, and she’s really coming of age,” Pine Plains coach Deb Beam said. “She was in the right place at the right time. She has a very strong flick and was able to utilize that.”

Monica Smith added two goals and two assists for the Bombers, and Rachel Beam had a goal and two assists.
