Monroe-Woodbury Wins Three Of Four Singles Vs. Pine Bush

PINE BUSH – Monroe-Woodbury High School wrapped up its second, third and fourth singles matches, respectively, and went on to a 5-2 OCIAA boys tennis victory over Pine Bush on Monday.

After Pine Bush’s Max Mueller won a dramatic 6-1, 16-, 7-6 (7-3) victory over Andrew Salkin at first singles, the Crusders swept the next three, with Jordan Gallinger, Alex Linn and Jared Rosen winning at second, third and fourth singles. Between them, the three players all won in straight sets and dropped just eight games.

Monroe-Woodbury’s Raj Patel and Reid Backus won in straight sets at No. 1 doubles, and Daniel Luo and Rahul Bwela did the same at third doubles.

Pine Bush’s Kiyan Hocek and Sebastian Czechowski went three sets to win their No. 2 doubles match.
