Presidents Beat Rondout Valley On The Road

KYSERIKE – Hunter VanSteenburgh and Dylan Craft both had double-doubles on Tuesday night, and the Franklin D. Roosevelt boys basketball team beat Rondout Valley, 70-48, in a Mid-Hudson Athletic League game.

The Presidents are 11-6 overall and face a must-win situation on Thursday at Red Hook in order to win its division and qualify for the four-team MHAL Tournament.

VanSteenburgh had a big game and barely missed a triple-double with 19 points, 10 rebounds and nine steals. Craft had 17 points and 13 rebounds; Justin Patsey had 17

“I thought our energy level was solid for the first half,” FDR coach Kevin Hart said. “It was a little sloppy in the second half so we have some things to work on in practice to play a good Red Hook team.”
