Presidents Hand Huskies First Home Loss

HIGHLAND – The Franklin D. Roosevelt High School volleyball team handed Highland its first home loss on Wednesday with a 3-1 Mid-Hudson Athletic League victory.

Despite the loss, the Huskies still advanced to their first postseason appearance in program history when the Section 9 tournament begins next week.

Gianna Felipe and Aaliyah Williams combined for a total of 35 kills for FDR while Samya Epps and Aliya Feerick logged 39 digs across four sets. Epps also managed to accumulate 40 assists on the day.

As for Highland, Katie Dauenheimer had eight kills, four aces and a block.
