Huskies Look Strong In Volleyball Win

HIGHLAND – Olivia Bell had 14 assists and five kills for Highland High School on Friday, and the Huskies swept Pine Plains, 3-0, in a Mid-Hudson Athletic League volleyball match.

Highland is 2-3 overall.

Scores were 25-20, 25-15 and 25-17.

Gabby Keefe had eight kills and Abby Kemp added six kills.

For Pine Plains, Marisa Markou had a pair of blocks and two kills, while Lourdes Belanger had two blocks.

“It was a good match,” Highland coach Roy Bell said. “It was tight all game long.”

Highland setter Paige Dauenheimer sprained her ankle on Thursday so the Huskies started Adrianna Scalo in her place and she played well.

Highland finished with a season-high 27 kills.
