JOHN JAY GIRLS BOUNCE BACK

Patriots Back In The W Column

WICCOPEE – John Jay High School shook off its first loss of the year as the host Patriots bounced back with a 47-31 victory over Beacon in a girls basketball game on Tuesday.

Jay is now 3-1 overall.

Prior to the game the team honored seniors Makenzie Dixon and Maylee DeLaCruz.

Stephanie Jean-Baptiste led a balanced attack with 11 points and Grace Kennedy added nine points.

Reilly Landisi led the Bulldogs with nine points.

John Jay led 20-8 early and 32-14 at the half.

“Beacon is a young team, they’re developing, and they are well-coached,” John Jay coach Larry Brooks said. “It was a good team win for us going into (Wednesday) night.”
