JOHN JAY GIRLS SWEEP CAPITAL REGION FOES

Patriots Knock Off Guilderland And Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake

It was a good weekend against the Capital Region for the John Jay High School girls soccer team.

The Patriots improved to 4-0 on the season after a sweep of two schools from the Albany area.

Ava Viebrouck scored a pair of goals as John Jay beat Guilderland, 4-1, on Saturday. Kari Horos also scored and
Meredith Angyal had a goal and an assist.

Patriots goalies Lizzy Lennane and Gabby Zarro each had four saves.

On Sunday, Lennane had three saves and Zarro had two to lead Jay to a 2-0 shutout of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake.

Kayleigh McCrory had the first goal of the game and Jill Linder followed with her first career varsity goal.
Viebrouck and Jenna Waldbiling both had assists for the Patriots.
