Tigers Win Field Hockey Championship, Raiders Capture Girls Soccer, Hawks Own Boys Soccer

STONE RIDGE – The Mid-Hudson Athletic League crowned three more of its team champions on Thursday as Kingston High School field hockey, Red Hook girls soccer and Rhinebeck boys soccer all took home titles.

The Tigers needed double overtime to win the field hockey championship with a 1-0 victory over Rondout Valley at neutral Red Hook High School. It was the fourth consecutive title for Kingston.

Bridgie Loughlin scored the game-winner 2:53 into a second overtime off an assist from Hannah Timbrouck.

At Wallkill High School, Grace Hennig had a natural hat trick in the first half, sparking Red Hook girls soccer to a 4-0 win over Mount Academy in the tournament title match.

Grace Berardi had the fourth goal for the Raiders.

In the early game at Wallkill High School, Rhinebeck used two second-half goals by Noah Lortie to defeat the host Panthers, 2-1.

It was the first MHAL boys soccer crown for the Hawks since 2012.
