KINGSTON WINS A CLOSE THREE-SETTER

Only Seven Points Separate Tigers And Monroe-Woodbury

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CENTRAL VALLEY – Technically, it was a sweep on Monday when the Kingston High School volleyball team beat Monroe-Woodbury.

It might as well have been a five-setter given the closeness of the match and the intensity.

The Tigers outlasted the Crusaders in a tight content, 25-22, 25-23 and 25-23.

Kingston is now 5-1 overall while Monroe-Woodbury fell to 3-3.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shannon Bonewit led the Tigers with 23 digs and nine kills, as well as a block. Tori Boulay had 29 assists, 10 digs and four kills, Tori Ost had 16 kills and five digs, and Kailyn Lukaszewski had 12 digs, three kills and six aces.

For Monroe-Woodbury, Jessica Ader had 22 digs and six kills. Jamie Waldron also had six kills. Michaela Ross had 14 digs, Hayley Cowart had seven assists and seven digs, and Jordan Hayden had nine assists and eight digs.
