KOLLER’S HIT STREAK CONTINUES IN SPACKENKILL WIN

Spartan Star Doubles In Victory Over Highland

POUGHKEEPSIE – Josh Koller extended his season-long hitting streak on Tuesday and the Spackenkill High School baseball team beat Highland, 8-1, in a Mid-Hudson Athletic League game.

The Spartans are now 10-8 overall and Koller’s double gave him a hit in every one of those games.

Andrew Speranza gave up just two hits over five innings for the win and also had two hits and two RBI. Sean Lucas and Anthony Hoyt both were 3-for-3, with Lucas doubling twice.

Nick Sassano had two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored for Spackenkill.

Cameron Nuessle and Nick Ferdico both had a hit for the Huskies, while Aiden Weiser had an RBI.
