Comets’ Boys Beat Livingston Manor

FALLSBURG – Shawn Leszczynski led the pack for the bulk of the race, running away from the field to lead the Fallsburg High School boys cross country team to a 15-50 win over Livingston Manor on Wednesday.

Leszczynski covered the course in 24 minutes, nine seconds, almost two minutes ahead of LM’s James Link, who came in at 26 minutes even.

LM’s Zach Derringer was third, and Fallsburg’s William Plaza and Daniel Milov rounded out the top five.

There was no team score in the girls’ meet, which was won by Jamie Rein of the Comets in a time of 28:21. Manor’s Marlee Madison was second in a time of 34:28.
