Indians’ Depth The Key To Road Win

MILLBROOK – Though the Millbrook High School football team jumped out to another lead in another game, the Blazers’ lack of depth caught up to them again as Liberty recorded a 46-20 win on Sunday in the season finale for both teams.

Millbrook finished with a 3-6 mark.

Michael Tipping returned from injury and rushed for 221 yards and a touchdown for the Blazers, while Tyler Madison had 80 yards and two scores as Millbrook led 12-0 early.

But Liberty’s Kymanni Dennis rushed for 167 yards and three scores, and Chris Bayer threw for 90 yards and a passing touchdown.

“I think our lack of size and youth caught up to us again against a very big, physical team,” Millbrook coach Sean Keenan said. “But I couldn’t be prouder of our kids. We’re the smallest school in Section 9 playing real football, and I am proud of the effort our kids put forth every game.”
