Warriors Show Spark Late To Beat Pawling

PAWLING – Our Lady of Lourdes High School girls lacrosse coach Mike Galantich saw something he liked on Monday afternoon.

A team at ease and not distressed late in a tie game with Pawling.

“When they tied it at 10-10, I saw something different. Our girls’ shoulders didn’t slump. They kept their cool and figured out a way to win,” Galantich said after his Warriors scored the last three goals of the game for a 13-10 road win over the Tigers.

OLL is now 3-7 overall.

“It’s a big step for us,” he said. “We’re starting to show a pulse.”
Lu Clark led the Warriors with five goals and an assist. Isabella Clark added three goals and two assists, and Molly Bergin had a pair of goals. Maeve Connolly had two goals and three assists. Caroline D’Agostino had a goal and Marguerite McGahay added an assist.

Pawling’s Morgan McCarthy had five goals and an assist – “and we face-guarded her,” Galantich said. “She is some player.”

Lourdes heads to JFK on Tuesday.
