Two Pitchers Combine For No-Hitter In Baseball Victory

MARLBORO – Matt Corcoran and Justin Schwarzbeck combined on a no-hitter on Monday, leading the Marlboro High School baseball team to an 11-0 victory over Dover.

Coincidentally, Marlboro’s softball team recorded an 11-0 win as well, beating Chester in a non-league game.

Corcoran got the victory in the baseball game as the duo combined for five strikeouts.

Sam Mongelli had three hits and three RBI to pace the Iron Dukes’ offense. Eric Grzechowski had a pair of doubles and drove in a run, while Mike Paolo had three hits and an RBI.

Noah Hadley, Mike Greco, Alex Leduc and Christian Diorio each drove in a run.

There was nearly a no-hitter in the softball game as well as Mel Papuli gave up just one hit over seven innings in the victory over Chester.

Kaitlyn Tudico was 3-for-3 with a pair of two-run home runs.

Emma Mae Cabrera had two hits and three RBI.
