MILLBROOK GIRLS SHUT OUT SPACKENKILL

Blazers Stay Unbeaten On The Pitch This Season

 

MILLBROOK – Millbrook High School’s girls soccer team continued its winning ways, moving to 6-0 on the season after defeating the Spackenkill Spartans, 4-0, in a Mid-Hudson Athletic League game.

The Spartans fell to 2-3 on the season.

Despite the difficulties that have arisen from the pandemic, the Blazers continue to string together wins. Rebecca Quick and Hudson Heitmann paved the way for a Milbrook paved the way to victory, each scoring two goals. Heitmann added an assist in addition to her two goals, while Angelina Molino, Stephanie Deman and Sadie Krueger all chipped in an assist of their own.

Millbrook led the game with 11 shots on goal, while holding Spackenkill to only three shots on goal. Ella Wilson, the goalkeeper for the Blazers, saved all three of the shots she faced, posting a shutout.

Claire Sottile started in net for the Spartans and made eight  saves.
