Soccer Teams Record Shutouts Of Pine Plains

ESOPUS – The Mount Academy hosted Pine Plains in both boys and girls soccer on Friday, and an anomaly took place.

Both games ended up 8-0 in favor of The Mount.

Fara Kleinsasser had the hat trick in the girls victory. Marilyn Decker had a pair of goals and Christine Mason, Esther Blough and Hilda Huleatt all had a tally.

Blough, Naomi Waldner and Rena Ben Eliezer each had an assist.

Sophie Keiderling didn’t have to make a save in the win.

Pine Plains goalie Alexandra Coons had eight saves.

In the boys match, Benson Arnold also had a hat trick, Caleb Meier scored twice and single goals were tallied by Darren Baird, Austin Winter and Andrew Rimes.

Meier, Baird, Everett Button and Mychal Wipf all had assists.

As in the girls game, keeper Hudson Boller didn’t face a single shot on goal. His counterpart for the Bombers, Patrick Giesler, had two saves.
