Bears Improve To 2-0, Drop Warriors To 0-2

POUGHKEEPSIE – Two weeks into the season, the Brewster High School football season is already starting to come full circle from last year.

A 14-seed in the Section 1, Class A playoffs last year, the Bears were one-and-done after suffering a 29-point loss to Our Lady of Lourdes in the first round.

What a difference a year makes, huh?

Brewster moved to 2-0 on the season by avenging that loss, going on the road for a 28-14 league victory over Lourdes on Friday night.

OLL is now 0-2 overall.

Chris Donohue threw a 60-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the game for the Bears. He threw another one to Paul Catalano early in the second half to make it 21-7, and then Tommy Consolato grabbed a pick-six interception to stretch the lead to three touchdowns.

HVSR’s Karl Grant Jr. was at the game to deliver us some great photos. If you would like to purchase an image, contact Karl at or @Karlgrant2019
