Indians Drop Home Game In Boys Basketball

WAPPINGERS FALLS – The Roy C. Ketcham High School boys basketball team is having trouble scoring. No doubt about it.

Defensively, RCK is achieving its goal of holding opponents in the 60s or less, but you still have to put the ball in the basket and the Indians struggled Tuesday in a 58-34 loss to Mamaroneck.

Ketcham is 0-3.

Phoenix Bowman’s nine points led the Indians. Nyshon Brown, Owen Paino and Gabe Bristow all had six points.

Quinn Reavy’s 15 points for the Tigers led all scorers.

“Going in we’ve been having a rough spell. I asked the kids to just play hard and halfway through the third quarter we were tied at 27,” Ketcham coach Mike Paino said. “But their length gave us a little bit of a problem. We gave the ball away and we gave up a lot of offensive rebounds. But the effort wasn’t terrible.”
