Raiders Finish At 9-11, Say Goodbye To Six Seniors

CHESTER – Port Jervis High School girls basketball said goodbye to six seniors on Tuesday, and closed out the season with a 57-24 road win at Chester.

Port raced to 25-7 lead at halftime and never looked back.

Kristen Robinson led the Raiders with 13 points, Kaylene Saushuck had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Keegan Salas added eight points.

Megan Firth had five points and 10 rebounds for Port, Courtney Bedford added seven points, seven boards and five assists, and Meghan Clune added four points, five assists and a pair of steals.

All six players are graduating seniors for Port Jervis.

“They truly epitomize teamwork and always think about team before self, which is what makes them such a wonderful group of athletes to coach,” Port Jervis coach Caitlyn Gunderman said. “Tonight’s game is bittersweet as I will truly miss the six seniors. They made the season extremely enjoyable.”
