Prater, Stein lead Millbrook golf past Webutuck

LAKEVILLE, Conn. – Tyler Prater and Jordan Stein both played steady, even golf on Thursday, and Millbrook High School beat Webutuck, 164-223, in a Mid-Hudson Athletic League match.

The Blazers are off to a 2-0 start; that was the season opener for the Warriors.

Prater shot a 3-over-par 38 at The Hotchkiss School Course, where Webutuck hosts its home matches. Prater had six pars; Stein had five pars during his round of 39.

“Tyler and Jordan have been steady for most of the year so far,” Millbrook coach Dan Funk said. “They just played even throughout the day, didn’t get in a lot of trouble.”

Teammate Mitchell Weimer was right behind with a 41.

“Mitchell is a freshman, and that was his low round of the year,” Funk said. “For a freshman that was pretty good.”
