RONDOUT STAYS PERFECT IN FIELD HOCKEY

Ganders Shut Out Webutuck

AMENIA – Emma Markle had a pair of first-half goals on Wednesday, sparking the Rondout Valley High School field hockey team to a 6-0 Mid-Hudson Athletic League win over Webutuck.

The Ganders are 3-0 overall.

Markle also had an assist. Megan McGovern had a goal and an assist, while MacKenzie Heyl, Sophia Schoonmaker and Riley Schoonmaker also scored.

The Ganders had a 40-0 advantage in shots on goal, and not enough can be said about Webutuck goalie Gabby VanAnden. VanAnden was spectacular in making a whopping 25 saves in the game.
