Presidents Pick Up Big Divisional Win

HYDE PARK – Advantage, Presidents.

Jake Londin re-set his career-high for points after just 48 hours, and the Franklin D. Roosevelt High School boys basketball team beat New Paltz, 67-51, in a Mid-Hudson Athletic League Division I game.

FDR is now 6-3 overall and 3-0 in the division.

“This was the best four quarters of basketball we played all year,” Roosevelt coach Kevin Hart said. “This was a big, big win, for not only the kids but for the program moving forward.”

FDR took control of the game in the second quarter with a 20-10 advantage to take a 10-point lead at the half.

Londin finished with a game-high 26 points, re-setting his career-high of 25. Justin Patsey scored 17 points, and Dylan Craft added nine points, four blocks and six rebounds.

Jackson Soper scored 17 points to pace the Huguenots, while Patrick Murphy tallied 15 and Matt Simmons added 13.
