Admirals Take Down North Rockland On The Pitch

FREEDOM PLAINS – Three different players scored on Friday as the Arlington High School girls soccer team made it a perfect seven-for-seven on the season with a 2-1 victory over North Rockland.

Megan Stowell helped open the scoring when she went endline to slide the ball back for Ava Santarpia, who one-timed it for the score and a 1-0 lead.

Just before the half, Kaylee Stowell found Marissa Foster across the 18 yard line to go up 2-0 at the break.

In the second half, North Rockland found a counter attack and a shot by Megan MacMillan went through Arlington keeper Kayla Kalbaugh’s hands, and the deficit was cut in half.

But Arlington answered back when Foster assisted on Kaylee Stowell’s hard shot to the top corner of the net.

Kalbaugh had three saves for Arlington, which hosts John Jay on Tuesday.
