SOMETHING’S ROTTEN IN THE STATE OF MARIST BASKETBALL

Men Drop 10th Straight Game After Loss To Quinnipiac

POUGHKEEPSIE – With all due respect to Shakespeare, something is rotten in the state of Marist College men’s basketball.

The Red Foxes lost their 10th consecutive game on Friday night, falling to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference rival Quinnipiac, 63-58, at McCann Arena.

At this point, Marist has lost in every conceivable way since opening the season with a win at VMI on Nov. 8, which seems like two lifetimes ago instead of two months.

Against Quinnipiac, despite a career-high 20 points from Matt Herasme, Marist faltered down the stretch. Tied at 54-all with 3:53 remaining, the Red Foxes scored just four more points the rest of the way.
