SPEEDLING, PINE PLAINS DOMINATE DOVER

Bombers Win Eight-Man Football Matchup

DOVER PLAINS – Andrew Speedling again lived up to his last name.

Speedling touched the ball only 12 times but rushed for 160 yards on Friday night, leading Pine Plains to a 48-6 victory over Dover in an Eight-Man Football League game.

It was the regular-season finale for the Bombers.

Speedling rushed for three touchdowns.

Sid Stracher added 76 yards on the ground and a touchdown, while Richie Lamping ran for 52 yards and a score, as well as two 2-point conversions.

Ryan Martin scored a touchdown on a 26-yard dash and added a 2-point conversion.

Devon Hurst and Ryan Lynn each scored on a conversion.

The Bombers had a strong defense as well, led by Hurst’s nine tackles, two sacks and two fumble recoveries.

Speedling and Martin had six tackles each.
