STREIMER RUSHES T-V TO WIN

Bears Survive Intensity Letdown To Record Eight-Man Victory

ELDRED – Tri-Valley High School jumped out to an early lead, survived what their coach called an intensity letdown in the second half, and beat host Eldred 45-15 on Friday night in an eight-man football matchup.

The Bears are now 2-0 overall.

Keegan Streimer had another big game for Tri-Valley, rushing 11 times for 159 yards – including runs of 38, 54, 16, 18 and 17 yards for touchdowns. He also threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Cody Shamro.

Drew Hartman rushed for 69 yards and Brendan Pavese had five tackles.

“I’m disappointed that our intensity level was that low to start the third quarter. We can’t allow that to happen,” T-V coach Gene Botsford said. “Our goal this week is to have a great week of practice and focus on our fundamentals.”

Sawyer Halter had a 72-yard kick return for a touchdown and also rushed for 74 yards to lead the Yellow Jackets.
