Presidents Open With Win Over New Paltz

HYDE PARK – Camryn Tarkos had the only goal of the game on Friday as the Franklin D. Roosevelt High School girls soccer team opened the 2021 season with a 1-0 Mid-Hudson Athletic League win over New Paltz.

Tarkos’ goal came off an assist from Erin Drickel.

Both teams’ defenses were superb as FDR’s Cali DeLawder made seven saves and teammate Natalie Ontiveros had two. New Paltz’s Vivian Kay turned away three shots.
