TOUGH DAY FOR SECTION 9 LACROSSE

All Four Local Boys Teams Fall To Section 1 In State Regionals

MIDDLETOWN – Section 9 has had something of a checkered history with its boys lacrosse teams in the state tournament.

Mostly, it’s been rough.

Saturday was no different.

All four schools lost in New York State regional final games at Faller Field, ending their respective seasons.

Kingston had the closest game in Class A, falling to Mamaroneck, 10-4.

In Class B, John Jay-Cross River was a 20-4 winner over Warwick. Red Hook lost 18-3 to Rye in Class C; and Briarcliff was a 14-1 victor over James I. O’Neill.
