Panthers Ring Up Triple Digits

ESOPUS – Let’s keep in perspective that one of these teams has several key returners on a strong, veteran squad, and the other is in the first year of starting its high school boys basketball program.

That’s the backdrop of Wednesday’s 103-34 victory for Wallkill over host The Mount Academy.

Kyle Krebs scored 26 points, including eight three-point field goals, to lead the Panthers. Mat Shea scored 20 points, Jeremy Figueroa added 15 and Justin Noelizaire chipped in with nine.

Hudson Boller added 15 points for The Mount Academy.

This was a 12-9 game after the first quarter in favor of Wallkill when the Panthers erupted with an extraordinary second quarter, outscoring The Mount 54-10.
