Aaron Bennett, Panther Defense Shine

WALLKILL – Wallkill High School did it on both sides of the football on Friday night, and the Panthers rolled over Franklin D. Roosevelt, 55-7.

Wallkill is now 2-1 overall; the Presidents dropped to 0-3.

Aaron Bennett ran for nearly 200 yards and three touchdowns, and added a fourth score on an 83-yard kickoff return. Quarterback Ryan Strobach ran for two scores.

The Panther defense was outstanding, forcing eight turnovers including six interceptions. Ray Kozireski had four picks, Logan Volz had one, and Anthony Quattrochi returned an interception for a touchdown to go with his rushing TD.

James Lipinski returned a fumble 45 yards for Roosevelt’s only score.
