WARWICK DEPTH SINKS FDR

Wildcats Capture Boys Swim Meet

WARWICK – Warwick High School didn’t have a single individual who won more than one event on Thursday, but the Wildcats’ depth more than made up for it in a 93-74 victory over Roosevelt in a boys swim meet.

Sean Corrigan won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 24.55 seconds, and Will Danaher captured the 500-freestyle in a time of 5:39.06. Danaher also anchored the winning 200-free relay team along with Corrigan, Sean Gaynor and Daniel Jackson.

But Warwick had strength in numbers. The Wildcats finished 2-3-4 in the 200-Individual Medley, 2-3-4 in the 100-butterfly, 2-3-4 in the 100-freestyle and 2-3-4 in the 100-breaststroke.

Roosevelt’s Jack Cimorelli took the 200-IM and the 100-butterfly.
